Chuan Spa at The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai itself does not offer breakfast or lunch pre- or post-treatments, but you can grab a complimentary apple on your way in or out of the spa and gym, eat at one of The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai’s restaurants or order room service to the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa. If you’re feeling health conscious, the hotel’s room service menu, in addition to salads, offers dishes like fresh Norwegian salmon (RMB 200/US$32) and a vegetable sandwich on sourdough bread with a side salad (RMB 150/US$24). We also love the none-too-healthy nasi goreng (RMB90/US$14) — fried rice with a fried egg, prawns, pickles and chicken satay. If you prefer to sit in one of the hotel’s restaurants, there’s all-day dining spot Cachet, which does mostly Western food, and Ming Court, a Cantonese restaurant.
