When the Skylofts opened on the 29th floor of the MGM Grand in 2005, it ushered in boutique-hotel elegance to the Vegas Strip. Guests get picked up from the airport in a Maybach limo, and upon arrival, a private driveway leads to a dedicated Skylofts entrance, where guests are greeted by name. Guests are then whisked to their suites for check-in (so forget about long lobby waits). Each of the 51 lofts features 400 thread-count sheets, a Bang & Olfsen and Sony entertainment system, Swiss showers, Bulgari bath products and floor-to-ceiling desert views. Guests can also choose from a pillow menu with 14 offerings, or select a bath treatment from a soaking menu, and a personal butler will draw you a bath. Perks beyond the suite’s walls include preferred seating at MGM restaurants and access to tough-to-get tickets for shows and concerts. If you choose to stay in for the night, the Skylofts’ staff will re-create the table settings and experience of any of the MGM Grand’s dining establishments in-loft—and you don’t have to lift a finger, unless it’s to pick up a fork.
