The Lodge and Cottages at Primland offers 24-hour room service for when you’re looking for something to nibble on but don’t quite want to spend the time in one of the restaurants. If you’re arriving at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel late, it’s good to know that you can order a bite to eat. The room service menu at The Lodge and Cottages at Primland provides an interesting variety of dishes for any meal you’re looking for. If it’s breakfast you desire, you’ll find options such as egg dishes like omelets, a breakfast sandwich, short rib hash, eggs Benedict and eggs in a nest with brioche, frisee and bacon. There are also continental breakfast with items such as croissants, fruit, a parfait, and smoked salmon with bagel chips (all the continental items are $4 each). If you’re looking for more comfort food, there are pancakes, oatmeal, grits with cheddar, bread pudding French toast; waffles and more. For lunch, there were items such as bar snacks such as olives and chips to prosciutto and melon and cheeses; along with soups, salads and sandwiches such as slow roasted pork, a garden vegetable wrap, and a BLT with an egg. There was also pasta, fish and chips; shrimp and grits; flat iron steak; and sides and desserts. Dinner included shellfish items, snacks, soups and salads along with entrees such as shrimp and grits; salmon; pork chops; a Kobe burger; pork sandwich; and pasta. Desserts included old fashioned ice cream floats with ginger ale, coke, or grape soda; ice cream; warm cookies and croissant bread pudding. There’s also a late night menu served from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. with some of the same tasty options but just a limited sized menu.
