“Personalized” is the word that best embodies Asaya Social Wellness Club, Rosewood Doha’s exclusive spa enclave. Sanskrit for “set an intention for self-change,” Asaya is Doha’s first wellness-driven social members club. Here, there is an emphasis on nurturing the mind, body and spirit as well as harnessing the latest technologies and approaches to wellness. Asaya consists of four treatment rooms, a private social suite and multi-sensory bathhouses featuring a soothing Himalayan salt wall sauna, a purifying crystal steam room and anti-gravity heated loungers. Outdoor facilities center around a 25-meter lap pool, a family pool with a dedicated kids’ area and a lounging pool overlooking the gulf.

Using a philosophy dubbed “hyper-personalized,” each experience for Asaya members (and hotel guests) begins with a comprehensive, three-stage personalized assessment. This encompasses a biohacking lifestyle consultation, a fitness evaluation and an AI-powered skin health check alongside an aromatherapy herbology session.

At the heart of the facility is the Social House, a community gathering space where regular workshops and events are held and where Mediterranean dishes are enjoyed at Asaya Kitchen.

Our Inspector's Highlights

Qatari traditions and designs are front and center. We loved the chic silk and cotton spa kimonos exclusively created by Hamadis, the Doha-based fashion house founded by sisters Jawaher and Aysha Al Hammadi.
The first-rate recreational facilities include a padel court and social venue in partnership with luxury Swedish padel club and lifestyle brand ASCARO.
In-house restaurant Asaya Kitchen has a menu of light plates and main dishes like scarlet-red prawns with Moroccan preserved lemon. And in a first for Doha, it’s led by an all-woman kitchen brigade.
The ladies-only section goes above and beyond, with a private outdoor functional fitness zone and a multi-function space for barre, yoga and Pilates (including the on-trend Megaformer equipment).
A branch of the famed London men’s grooming salon Pankhurst gives a bit of old-school allure with cuts, shaves and even head massages.

The Treatments

If you are in search of something deeper than your usual massage or facial, the Doha spa offers a full range of sound therapies, including binaural and vibroacoustic sound chairs, and sound therapy sessions like a 60-minute Desert Sound Bath that can be done in a group or privately.
Pearls are very much a part of Qatari culture and are incorporated into the 24K Gold and Pearl Re-Mineralizing Body Mask, which ends with an Ayurvedic facial massage targeting pressure points.
If you need a solid night’s rest, the 90-minute Alchemy of Sleep treatment done in partnership with Subtle Energies combines Tibetan singing bowls and a Himalayan salt massage to help you slide into slumber.
The Total Body and Mind Digital Detox by Portuguese brand Ignae promises to calm the nervous system by combining the massage technique of traditional Chinese medicine with aromatherapy oils from the Azores.
A half-day Path to Wholeness journey starts with a manifestation and intention-setting session and unfolds with a sound bath, hammam time along with a wholesome, mindful lunch from Asaya Kitchen and more.
