Hidden on a picturesque residential street right off Melrose that looks like it belongs
in a small-town East Coast nabe, Le Parc Suite Hotel is worthwhile, if only for the
easy underground parking in this popular neighborhood. This particular part of
Melrose offers several lovely breakfast, brunch and lunch spots, from Urth Caffé
to Pain Quotidien and the new, amazing David Myers brasserie Comme Ça just
across La Cienega (try the crème brûlée French toast and risk dying of happiness).
The hotel’s own restaurant, Knoll, offers adequate Mediterranean/French cuisine.
Le Parc itself is low-key, but nice and offers a good value. All suite-style rooms are
muted in soft chocolates and purples and offer complimentary wireless Internet.
Sporty types will want to volley above West Hollywood—head up to the roof deck
for poolside chaises and a tennis court, a rarity in urban hotels this small.
