Advance reservations are strongly recommended for Spa du Sureau, particularly if you’re interested in one of the spa’s treatment packages, but concierge can accommodate last-minute arrivals, based on availability. In fact, when we last visited, we were able to get an appointment less than 24 hours in advance without any problems.
One thing to keep in mind is that because the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa is relatively small, therapists are often called in on a per-guest basis; in other words, therapists are not onsite the way they might be at a chain spa. That’s the biggest obstacle to landing a last-minute appointment at this beautiful spa located within Château du Sureau, so again, it’s best to plan ahead if possible, especially if you’d like a male therapist or masseur since — as of our last visit — the spa only has one male on staff.
At Château du Sureau, concierge duties are performed by the Château director as well as the reservations department. We do not have a concierge per se, as our property is small. Our spa manager can certainly arrange last-minute spa appointments.
