What are Adam Tihany’s favorite city hotels to visit?
Besides the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, which is one of my tops, I love the George Cinq [Four Seasons Hotel George V] in Paris; it’s a little bit of old-fashioned France. I love the Grand Hyatt Seoul, which is also a very big hotel that manages to feel intimate and personal. I like Le Sirenuse in Positano very much. I have very expensive taste. For us it’s truly about site-specific hotels that truly reflect the character of the town. And it’s about people, it’s about service. Someone said to me a long, long time ago that a true butler is somebody that anticipates a client’s needs five minutes before they do. I must say they do exist.
