What inspires Anthony Zhao when he cooks?

When I’m cooking for my family, I pick the freshest possible ingredients. I’m definitely more focused on the quality of the ingredients than putting together something fancy. With family, you want to feed them only the best. I’ll make bigger portions of simple things that are delicious rather than trying to make something that looks incredible. What I make for dinner depends on how I feel and what we’ve been eating recently. If we’ve had Western food every day, I’ll make Chinese; if we’ve been eating a lot of meat, I’ll put together vegetarian dishes. I try to be balanced.
