How important is food to Daniel Humm when he travels?
The way I travel is through food — from bakeries to produce markets, to vegetable markets, to fish markets, to meat markets, to restaurants, to high-end restaurants. Every city we go to, if we have a little bit of extra time, we really want to connect with the food community and see how things work. Where do they get the stuff from? What are the things they’re mostly known for? That’s what’s so cool about traveling — really finding these specialties in each city. That’s kind of how we live our lives through food.
