What are David Burke’s favorite restaurants?

There’s a place in Singapore I used to eat at called Lei Garden. It’s a dim sum place and they’ve got live fish tanks. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. In New York, I love a place called Peasant that I’ve been eating at recently. It’s downtown. I like Per Se a lot. I like The Purple Pig in Chicago as a drop-in place. In Miami, I like Doug Rodriguez’s restaurant Alma de Cuba. I like Rathbun’s — it’s one of my favorites in Atlanta. I don’t get to Atlanta as much. I love Michael Voltaggio’s place, Ink, in Los Angeles. I also love Spago in L.A. In fact, I just spent a little bit of time out there, and the new Spago is fantastic. In San Francisco, Michael Mina is my go-to guy — either his RN74 or his fine-dining restaurant. And up in Napa Valley, I like Michael Chiarello’s Bottega. If I’m in Paris, I like to go to L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon — unfortunately he closed his New York restaurant — or Alain Ducasse.
