I set my grandmother on fire when I was five years old. I was a very hyper kid. My family decided to convey my enthusiasm for fire and setting things on fire into cooking. I found myself, a six-year-old boy, running around the house being chased by my grandmother in a wheelchair, cooking something rather than destroying the whole family home. That’s how I got introduced to food. Professionally, my mom got very sick when I was 11 years old, so I had to take my life in my own hands. I decided to avoid school and go work right away.
