What are Jonathan Morr’s favorite restaurants?

There are a lot of great restaurants out there. I tend to go back to the same restaurants for the most part. In New York in particular, I go to Balthazar a lot. I have a standing reservation every Sunday at 1 p.m. at my table there, and to me it’s one of the more real restaurants there is. There’s so much energy and it’s always full. It works so well. You feel that hustle and bustle; you feel like you’re in a restaurant there.

For dinner, my favorite would be Indochine. Again, it’s a restaurant that’s been there [since 1984]. It’s old school New York. You know exactly who’s going to be there, who you’re going to see, who you’re going to know. It’s casual and easy. Those, besides my restaurants, are probably the only two restaurants I go to really.
