What does Ken Oringer collect when he travels?
I like little trinkets and little things, but you never know what it could be. It could be a whale jumping out of the water from Nova Scotia to some trinket that I find in some bazaar outside Tel Aviv; as long as it is something unusual. Another thing I collect is really unique liqueurs and spirits. But really really unique — like in China I bought one that they make out of ant larva. In the Alps, I’ll get different individually made génépi, which is a liqueur made out of something similar to juniper, but different and it’s served as a digestif.
