What are Larry Echaverry’s favorite places for live music in New York City?
There’s new venue and restaurant called The Darby on West 14th, which plays a lot of live music. On Mondays, The Carlyle plays jazz by Woody Allen, who plays himself every Monday at The Carlyle Hotel. It gets busy. You must make a reservation. And you have your West Third jazz club in the West Village, Blue Note. And, of course, Rockefeller Center’s NBC shows have live music and concerts in the summer. You can come and watch, and it’s free.
