Does Larry Stone think everyone tastes the same wine differently?

Absolutely. That’s the one thing that critics have to work with is that everybody’s palate is a little bit different. I think it’s a bell curve. Like many things in life, there are people that are way out there that have a sense of taste that is so different, either super sensitive or on the other end, totally dead practically. With taste, a lot of it is mental so you can overcome defects in your palate. But still, you’re going to taste it differently because it depends again what you bring to it, what your experience of wine has been in the past.
