What are Miranda Whitcomb Pontes’ favorite restaurants?

There’s a place called Lea’s Lunchroom in Lecompte, Louisiana, near where I’m from. It’s in this median between two highways, and it’s the place to get the finest chopped ham sandwiches on the planet. It’s old school and such a memory because I’d go back and forth from Baton Rouge when I was little.

Then, there’s a place called Marlow & Sons in Brooklyn. It’s a hole-in-the-wall space, but the chicken and crostini there are so delectable. The chicken is crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. It reminds me of my childhood in Louisiana.
