DAYTONA BEACH
Daytona Beach's 23 miles along Florida's east coast make it a beach party paradise where people-watching is just as thrilling as body boarding in the salty sea. Whether it's students-gone-wild on spring break, tattooed bikers in head-to-toe leather rolling in for Bike Week or local NASCAR aficionados revving their engines at Daytona International Speedway, they all come together for one thing—a good time.

After you check into your hotel, you can stroll the beachfront area around the popular Main Street Pier into Ocean Walk Village to peruse a new slew of upscale shops while the kiddies play on water rides. But let's not forget the real reason you're here: the beach. You'll have a blast on the beach because rental water toys are everywhere. Grab a boogey board or surfboard and catch a wave. Landlubbers can coast in the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean on rented cruiser bicycles and scooters. Or put the pedal to the metal in a rented four-wheeler and drive on 18 miles of beach (legally).

NASCAR, with the Daytona 500, the Pepsi 400 and tons of other races hitting the sunny locale annually. Daytona's Richard Petty Driving Experience will satisfy your need for speed.
When the sun sets, the partiers head to the clubs and dance till the surfers come home. But there's a nightspot for every owl, including jazz joints, drag show venues and loads of biker bars. Or make it a somewhat-more-quiet night with the kids with a pit stop at the NASCAR-themed Cruisin' Cafe, or go all out at steak-and-seafood staple Chart House Restaurant. Or you can just stroll the beach under the moonlight—the sandy shore is paradise all day long.
