Bingo
If Poker and Black Jack are Las Vegas' reigning royalty, then basic bingo is little more than an ugly stepsister. Search as hard as you like, but you're not going to find this church lady favorite in any of the luxury casinos. But don't sweat it if you've packed your dauber and are ready to go; you'll just have to get down and dirty at one of the "smaller" casino's bingo halls.
One of the original (and still pretty popular) bingo bunkers is in Palace Station, which seats 504 gamers. Other Las Vegas options include Terrible's, Arizona Charlies, the Silver Nugget, and about a dozen more. These halls accommodate anywhere from 200 to almost 800 players so there is no need to worry about getting in, and minimum buy-ins hover around $5 (though some are as cheap as a dollar). Games usually start every two hours, and if you get to the hall by 9 a.m., there'll usually be a donut with your name on it. Many bingo joints also provide some form of sustenance throughout the day.
You're not here to eat though; you want to take home some cash, and those who are used to "church bingo" winnings are in for a treat. Las Vegas bingo jackpots are just a teensy bit bigger. Cash ball (a progressive sum that pays off once a bingo is called on a pre-selected number) can pay anywhere from $500 to upwards of $6,000, while the major progressive jackpot is even sweeter: get ready to line your wallet with some major Gs (anywhere from three to 60). After all, this is Vegas.
