There was a time when the urban elite scoffed at the tackiness of the Las Vegas Strip, but those days are long gone. While you can still party like a bachelor party frat boy, Sin City is also home to world-class celebrity chefs like Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon, big-name shows (Cirque du Soleil and Bette Midler), and insanely plush suites that are as stylish as they are expensive.
In Vegas, loyalty counts, so the quickest way to score a wide variety of VIP perks is to sign up for a frequent-visitor or high-roller card with a hotel. Often guests of the hotel will get first dibs on dinner reservations or preferential treatment (a.k.a. skip the line) at nightclubs owned by the hotel. For instance, guests at the MGM grand get to line hop at nightclubs in the resort, and they can snag an easy tee time at Shadow Creek Golf Course, one of the most expensive public golf course in America—with a private limo and personal caddie thrown in for good measure.
