Luxury Restaurants
Are you a foodie in the mood for outrageously good fine dining? You're in luck. Las Vegas boasts a tantalizing number of luxury restaurants. Slip on the heels or tie, pack your appetite (and AmEx black), and head to one of these luxe faves.

L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon:
Eating the fussy French creations of the this celebrated chef doesn't come cheap, but it sure is a memorable meal. Though you can order from an à la cart menu, those in the know opt for the six-course ($225) or 16-course ($360) tasting menus. Our favorite? La Langoustine, a delicious duo of langoustine (small, Norwegian shellfish) and spiny lobster, cooked in an individual-sized casserole with saffron bouillon. Yum. The three-star restaurant is tucked into the MGM Grand, so you can always book a room and stay the night if the food coma overpowers you.

Stripsteak:
Culinary star Michael Mina's first steakhouse landed on the Strip with a splash, at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay. Sink your teeth into three kinds of beef—Angus, American Kobe, and A5 Japanese Kobe—that's slow-poached (Mina's signature method) to enhance taste and texture. Mesquite grills also infuse sizable cuts, cooking for hours over low heat. The sleek menu's centerpiece—tender, mouth-watering meats—is supplemented with high-end bites like foie gras sliders (oh, my) and Blue Point oysters.

Alex:
Want to visit the French Riviera without leaving the Strip? Duck into this divine Mobil-five star restaurant in Wynn Las Vegas (dressed to the nines, of course), for dishes like Crispy Guinea Hen with Artichoke and Black Truffle Quenelles; and kanpachi sashimi with yuzu-lemon panna cotta (tasting menu: $210 a head). The décor is as sumptuous of the food: plush drapes, elegant high-back chairs, and chandeliers dripping fist-sized crystals.

Nobu:
With its black-rock walls and bamboo accents, it's hard to believe world-famous Nobu is part of the glitzy and flashy Hard Rock Hotel. But chef Nobu Matsuhisa has indeed set up shop in Vegas, bringing a fusion of Japanese and South American flavors to the scene, and earning three stars. Savor favorites like yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, monkfish pâté topped with caviar, king crab and lobster ceviche, then sit back and take in the bamboo-and-black-rock clad surroundings and Zen out.

Picasso:
What dining companion can compete with an original Picasso? Spanish chef Julian Serrano serves his edible masterpieces under original oils and ceramics by the Cubist master at this Mobil four-star restaurant. (Snag an outdoor seat for jaw-dropping views of the famed Bellagio fountain—just make sure you keep your food in your mouth, as this place is pretty posh.) The menu—a heady mix of Spanish and French flavors—changes daily, according to what's fresh at market.
