Nightclub Velvet Ropes
Sin City's nightclubs are full of hot dancers, big-name celebs and rollicking good times. That is, once you get past the velvet ropes. Play your cards right, and you'll be partying it up with the pretty young things inside.
For starters, cut your wait time down to mere minutes with these tips. First, if you're a group of guys looking to get into the clubs, spread yourselves out among several different clusters of women in line. Hot nightclub scenes are all about keeping the perfect balance between hot men and women—a group of dudes isn't likely to make it past the bouncer.
Stack the odds in your favor by dressing to impress—and definitely make sure that you've called the nightclub in advance so you know the dress code. When approaching the doorman, remember to be respectful (unless you're regularly on the cover of magazines, rude dudes and gals don't make it past the velvet ropes). Let them know how many men and women are in your party and ask how long the wait is. And unless you've got money to blow, keep the five-spot in your pocket and away from the doorman's palm. Snappy duds, cute girls, and a respectful demeanor will get you in way quicker than a cash bribe.
So now that you're prepped, where should you debut your new get-past-the-ropes skills? If you're into spotting celebrities, you'll have plenty of options in Vegas. Pure at Caesars Palace is a fave spot for party princesses Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Scarlett Johansson and Jaime Pressley have both been spotted several times at Social House at the Treasure Island. And Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel is a rocker-heavy spot where you're almost guaranteed a sighting of your fave hard-partying stars (Fall Out Boys and the Jackass movie crew have both rocked the devil horns here).
Nightclubs are packed with people—and plenty of great energy—on weekend nights, but to up your chances of rubbing elbows with Pamela Anderson, you'll have to slip past the velvet ropes on a weekday, like Wednesday or Thursday. Don't worry—most clubs are open until 4 a.m., even on a school night, so you'll really be able to dance 'til you drop.
