Room Amenities
There's no doubt about it: From the elegant glass-clad exterior to its impressive standing as one of the largest pyramid-shaped buildings in the world, The Luxor Hotel is all about opulence fit for a king, Egyptian or not. Even the basic suites offer modern amenities and posh decor. At 420 square feet, the basic room, the Pyramid Deluxe, offers you a choice of one king- or two queen-size beds. On the other hand, amenities are comparatively modest—they include a 27-inch color TV, oversized showers and free Internet access. A small entryway with an adjoining bath leads to the bedroom, complete with a lounge chair and a set of small table and chairs in front of a picture window.

Upgrade to the Tower Luxury Suite if you prefer even more space and some finer (though not any less subtle) details, such as floor-to-ceiling windows for a spectacular view. At 780 square feet with one king-size bed, amenities in this pad include a spa tub, wet bar, a cozy breakfast nook, and a large lounging area with a couch, coffee table and armoire/TV combo.

High rollers don't believe in second best, so the Player Deluxe Room was made especially for them. This 449-square-foot room offers a California King bed with luxury bedding, so you can chill out in complete comfort while watching a 42-inch plasma TV with Bose Surround Sound or listen to your iPod via the music/alarm clock dock. Enjoy drinks from the wet bar (replete with a refrigerator and granite countertops), or unwind with a shower and a dip in the separate jet tub.

Whether you're a gambler or not, you have to head to the Luxor's casino after a good night's rest. The hot slots and table games are the rage here, even more so for power players who bet high stakes—these folks are given an exclusive area of the casino where they receive extra attention and special recognition from the casino's management team.

Fret not if the slots leave you (or your pockets) feeling a little bit empty. The entertainment at Luxor boasts big names like magician and illusionist Criss Angel in his show with Cirque du Soleil, BeLIEve. If you get your kicks from liquid assets, then head for one or four of the hotel's nine bars and lounges for a tipple.
