Turning Stone Resort Casino is more than just a casino in Verona, New York. The expansive complex also boasts five golf courses (including the popular Shenendoah Golf Club) and Sportsplex, one of the largest sports and recreation venues in the U.S. Sportsplex is a year-round indoor dome of activities open to resort guests and the general public. Inside the massive structure you can practice your tennis stroke or tweak your drives, take lessons, meet with golf pros and even get in a game of racquetball. Once you head back outside, you’ll notice that three of the five golf courses (Shenendoah, Atunyote and Kaluhyat) affiliated with Turning Stone were designed by Rick Smith, Tom Fazio and Robert Trent Jones Jr., providing various levels of intensity for golfers of all levels. The other player-friendly courses, Sandstone Hollow and Pleasant Knolls, are a bit more easygoing in nature but offer equal fun across their nine holes. You can also sign up for private lessons, or you can take part in one of the many sports clinics or camps occurring throughout the year.
