Room rates at The Point start at $1,375 for what would be considered a standard room in most hotels and top out at $2,700 for the premier room at the hotel, the Boathouse. The remainder of the 11 unique rooms fall between those price points. Sure, the least expensive room is said to be “standard,” but it is hardly ordinary. In fact, the comfortable standard room, Iroquois, was originally built for the daughter of William Avery Rockefeller.
Mohawk, Rockefeller’s original grand master bedroom, comes at a slightly higher price point of $1,900. The room recently underwent renovations to upgrade the bathroom, and the fabulous new canopy bed is complete with a fur throw; we think Mr. Rockefeller would approve.
One thing about room rates at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel is that they are “all inclusive” based on two people sharing. On top of lodging, you will receive meals, afternoon tea, unlimited use of all the activities and equipment, and even unlimited wine and liquor at no extra cost.
