Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa is a suite-only property, with 94 options that range from studios to two- and three-bedrooms and a palatial-sized Presidential suite. All include a kitchen with stainless-steel appliances (stoves, small refrigerators, microwaves) and granite countertops, European-style washer/dryer, flat-screen TVs and Blu-ray player, slate floors, queen sleeper sofas and gas fireplace. Bathrooms in all suites are generously sized (some floor plans actually have multiple bathrooms); expect granite counters, slate tile, elegant fixtures and jetted or Jacuzzi tubs, some with separate shower. Most suites also have porches or patios, affording stunning views of the Adirondack mountain skyline. All of the quarters are decorated in classic Adirondack-style décor — exposed peeled logs; paintings and prints of wildlife scenes in birch-bark frames; antler chandeliers or forged lamps and sconces; leather sofas and refined rustic furniture crafted with the region’s trademark twiggy accents. Suites in the Lake Placid hotel come in all configurations and floor plans to accommodate whatever needs you may have.
