What is the work space like in a regular room at Blantyre?

If you have to do some work while staying at Blantyre, you’ll find a small antique desk in each suite that is just big enough to fit a few books and your laptop. A wooden chair and pillow cushion complement the period piece. You can easily imagine women in the 1800s sitting there with their quill pens and writing letters to their loved ones. Luckily, you won’t have to mess with a quill pen and inkwell; the desk comes outfitted with a ballpoint pen and the luxury hotel’s stationery so you can write to your loved ones, too. Though if you prefer to send an email, you can use the room’s complimentary Internet access. The desk also holds a telephone that will connect you to the various areas of the resort. The small drawers in the desk open up, so you can put your belongings in there (we used them for storing power cords and electronic devices). There is often a small vase or bud vase holding a flower to add a little ambiance while you’re plugging away on your computer.

Each room at Blantyre has a spacious desk, and we may accommodate any requirement or need for office supplies. Guests may send and receive faxes, and each room offers Wi-Fi access.
