The scene at TOCA is young and hip meets elegant and classy. The same can be said for The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, the hotel in which the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant sits, and the relaxed atmosphere of both will put you at ease while still delivering a fine dining experience. (The cheese cave alone is exquisite.) While the restaurant has an outwardly romantic feel, with many couples frequenting the open-concept dining room, the eatery also allows for groups with larger tables and comfortable yet stylish booth-like seating. On a typical Friday night, the restaurant is a hot spot for people of all ages looking to enjoy a great meal of shareable plates (Ontario cheese croquettes, Alberta beef tartare) or more substantial dishes (filet mignon, piri-piri organic Cornish hen). While it does get busy at dinnertime, it is not overly so, which allows the Toronto restaurant to remain true to its rather casual ambience.
