An early pioneer farmhouse built in 1887, this bed-and-breakfast is now an interesting reminder of a long-gone era. Furnished with 19th-century antiques, it has the relaxed ambience of a slower, less hectic time. The inn is located on an acre of land facing busy Highway 12 as it approaches historic Sonoma from the west. The central Sonoma Plaza, with shops, restaurants, and historic sites, is just five blocks to the east. The sunken backyard, with gardens, large trees, and a hot tub, is away from traffic noise. Uniquely decorated guest rooms are surprisingly large and have modern comforts to blend with the historic furnishings. A full breakfast, evening wine and hors d’oeuvres, and loaner bicycles are available for guests.
