The Arrabelle at Vail Square’s buildings surround a plaza where skaters twirl on the ice rink in the winter and bands play in the summer. Walk out of the hotel's doors closest to the ski slopes and it's a one-minute walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola for a ride up to Vail's ski trails and vast bowls. Adventure Ridge, at the top of the gondola, is a playground with tubing, ski biking and kid's snowmobiling in the winter. Zip lining, mini-golf, disc golf and lawn sports happen throughout the summer.
Surrounding the plaza and elsewhere in Lionshead guests will find upscale sports shops, including Quiksilver and Patagonia, some restaurants such as Vail Chophouse and Montauk Seafood Grill, as well as a few boutiques and galleries. It's a five-minute ride to the heart of Vail via the hotel's van or by using the village's free bus service.
