The dessert menu at Yew Seafood and Bar is mix of classic staples and chef-driven creative treats that allow you to be as safe or adventurous as your stomach will allow. If you’re looking for the comforts of home you’ll find it in the warm fruit cobbler comprised of seasonal fruits, a dollop of crème fraiche and a port vanilla sauce, or via the warm chocolate cake accented with whisky and fig ice cream and caramel sauce. But going further afield will pay off, or so we found when we ordered the carrot cake ice cream with pineapple compote and coconut meringue. A similarly unique and fruity offering is the sesame cake with mango carpaccio, which is accompanied by a soy milk ice cream and lime crunch.
