From March through October, you can visit either the Dining Room or the Verandah at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel for breakfast lunch or dinner and order off the same menu. Each room has a different atmosphere, with the Dining Room being a bit more formal while the Verandah feels more relaxed. Indulge in savory dishes that incorporate fresh ingredients such as Salt Spring Island lamb and fresh local seafood, as well as herbs and produce from the estate gardens and orchards. Though you’ll certainly want to make a reservation, you should keep in mind that the Dining Room is only open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from March through October. During the winter season from Nov. 1 to March 1, Hastings House Country House Hotel operates as a bed and breakfast. You receive full English breakfasts each morning, muffins and afternoon tea. When it’s time for dinner, hotel staff will be happy to direct guest to their favorite area restaurants.
