The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia’s capital city of Victoria. It’s set right on the waterfront in the residential neighborhood of Oak Bay, about 3½ miles (six kilometers) west of the city center. The six-storey brick building rises above many of its neighbors, and its water-facing rooms have dramatic views out to sea and toward the surrounding islands. Most of the city’s attractions, including the Royal British Columbia Museum, the province’s stately Parliament Buildings, and the photogenic Inner Harbour, are located downtown, within a 10- to 15-minute drive of the hotel. Closer to the hotel is Oak Bay’s commercial district, with a small collection of upscale restaurants, shops, and galleries.
