Every meal at Plume — the fine dining restaurant at The Jefferson, Washington, D.C. — includes a gift of an amuse-bouche and chocolates to take away. As part of each meal, executive chef Ralf Schlegel offers an amuse-bouche that could be anything from a small sip of soup to a bite of an entrée-style concoction such as tiny bits of tuna and avocado or “meatballs” made of risotto.
You’ll also leave with a gift from Fabrice Leray, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant’s pastry chef: a small box of chocolates. You’re meant to take the box home after dining at Plume, but you'll be lucky if you don't open it on the way out.
