In his most personal resort to date, Steve Wynn has put his name, voice and signature on just about everything you could think of—including an 18-hole golf course attached to the back of the resort and designed by Tom Fazio and Wynn himself. Wynn’s penchant for fusing nature, art and luxury is also on display, with flowers and trees, waterfalls and lagoons scattered about the property along with original fine art draping the walls. Resort rooms average 640-square-feet in space (nearly twice as large as standard Vegas hotel rooms) and, like the more expensive rooms in the Tower Suites, (see page 58) include wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows, the pillow-top Wynn Dream Bed (covered in 100 percent Egyptian Cotton and 300-plus-thread-count sheets) and Desert Bambu bath amenities. Entertainment includes the unique show LE RĘVE (“the Dream”) and the Blush Boutique Nightclub (see page 142) overlooking the casino, while shopaholics will enjoy window shopping along the Wynn Esplanade, which includes a Manolo Blahnik boutique and a Ferrari-Maserati dealership. Wynn’s new $2.2 billion 2,034-room Encore tower opened in December 2008.
