The St. Regis Dubai

Al Habtoor City’s grand statement

The St. Regis Dubai has to work doubly hard to keep its neck above the city’s flashy fray. Being in a destination where tall is too short and new is never new enough, this property somehow manages to capture the eye of well-heeled travelers not with superlatives but with an unrelenting pursuit of being special.

The hotel’s 234 rooms have a resoundingly subtle elegance. Its eight dining options strike a balance between upscale and unique that few others are capable. And though The St. Regis Dubai shares real estate with the towering W Dubai and Westin Dubai in the Al Habtoor City development, its regal, beaux-arts architecture never gets lost.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Influenced by the original St. Regis in New York City, this location exudes the same opulence with grand marble lobbies, glittering chandeliers and traditional afternoon teas.
  • A hallmark of the St. Regis brand is, of course, personalized service. At this property, you shouldn’t be surprised if staffers know everything from your name to your favorite fruit by the end of the second day of your stay.
  • Iridium Spa is the six-room sanctuary that preps you for tranquility with soft earth tones; puts you in a state of calm with a roster of bespoke treatments and signature rituals; and keeps you in a place of stillness with two hammams and an experience shower.

Things to Know

  • If Dubai traffic has you down, order a helicopter and ask that the chopper drop you off on The St. Regis’ very own helipad.
  • The popular Dubai Water Canal, a 1.9-mile-long stretch with mechanical waterfalls, restaurants and retail options, is mere feet from the hotel lobby.
  • If you’re thinking about tying the knot, the Dubai hotel has more than 10 potential venues for your vows. The Versailles-inspired garden, which has the capacity for 320 guests, may spark the most colorful photos.
  • No matter which class of room you reserve, you will receive complimentary unpacking, gratis valet parking and free garment pressing.

The Rooms

  • The 182 rooms and 51 suites may range in size, but they all feature heavenly sheets, leather furnishings and a tufted bench or chairs at the foot of the bed.
  • Spacious bathrooms are adorned in marble, polished brass fixtures, bidets, soaking tubs and other swoon-worthy touches.
  • Of the remarkable suites, the nearly 2,100-square-foot Bentley (leather finishes, wood veneer) and 9,827-square-foot Sir Winton Churchill (12-seat dining room, private pool) make the most lasting impressions.

The Restaurants

  • With eight options at the luxury hotel, you may not have to dine at the same place twice during your visit. Whether you’re in the mood for casual (Café Fleuri, Le Patio), cosmopolitan (Brasserie Quartier, J&G Steakhouse) or a cocktail (St. Regis Bar), there’s an eatery for you.
  • Should the Australian wagyu and grilled asparagus you tried at J&G Steakhouse inspire you to get in front of a stove, The St. Regis Dubai offers cooking classes for couples, groups and children.
