Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama

An eye-catching Panama tower
Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama stands out in a crowd. This lavish hotel is designed for the spotlight — the sail-shaped tower is one of Latin America’s tallest buildings and anchors Panama City’s skyline. As with all Trump hotels, it’s flush with luxury amenities like infinity pools, chic restaurants and killer in-room views. Situated in the upmarket Punta Pacifica neighborhood, Trump Panama offers a rare sense of tropical seclusion in buzzy Panama City. At first glance, the tower seems to rise out of the ocean itself. In reality, its foundation sits on land, perched atop a rocky bluff jetting over the aquamarine waters of Panama Bay.

Completed in 2011, the impressive 70-story building made quite a splash as Trump’s debut property in Latin America. It was famous before that too, earning recognition during the construction process as a defining centerpiece of the city skyline. Rising 932 feet above the water, the design resembles a ship’s sail, curved towards the sky for a dramatic, eye-catching effect against the horizon.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • On the 14th floor, Barcelona serves breakfast and tapas (it’s closed for dinner), but the main restaurant here is Tejas. This fine-dining spot has both indoor and alfresco dining rooms; the skilled chefs churn out contemporary seafood with Latin American and Caribbean influences.
  • The 13th-floor deck resembles a swank Miami lounge with oversized cobalt floor cushions, poolside cabanas and sun recliners that appear to float over the waters of both infinity pools.
  • Don’t miss the hidden gem Panaviera bar on the 66th floor for incredible views just beyond an infinity pool.
  • The luxury hotel has a variety of trendy bars and bistros. Near the lobby, Cava 15 is a sophisticated dark wood, dark leather wine bar. Outside, Azul Pool Bar & Grill is the poolside bar with tropical cocktails and casual fare.
  • The luxe Ocean Sun Casino takes up the second floor of the tower and a 66th-floor high-rollers casino.
