Madeline Hotel and Residences

A ski village's colorful centerpiece
VERIFIED LUXURY
The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Madeline Hotel and Residences is located in the ski village of Telluride, and sits practically at the base of the lift, offering a prime location during the winter months.

The newly renovated hotel is designed with lots of colorful artwork displayed throughout the public areas. Suites have kitchenettes and are equipped with artisan teas, and balconies overlook Mountain Village in the ski area. There are also fireplaces to solidify the cabin feel without actually having to rough it.

And before you’re ready to grab a drink or enjoy a meal, utilize the ski valet, who makes things ultra convenient for when you need to store your skis. After those are put away, enjoy a cocktail and a game of pool in the cozy M Club.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• Suites in the Telluride hotel feature high-quality kitchenette facilities with sleek Scandinavian design, including a Wolf stovetop and Asko Swedish dishwasher, adding a luxury home-away-from-home feel.

• A common area on the lobby level—complete with a library, plush armchairs and a double fireplace—allows you to watch the snow fall over the Mountain Village in rustic comfort.

• Hotel Madeline Telluride is just 30-second walk to the gondola that takes guests to the first runs of the ski mountain and into the town of Telluride, which is ultra-convenient. The lift ticket sales office is just underneath the gondola.

• Don’t hesitate to ask for anything at this luxury hotel. The staff here is among the friendliest you’ll meet.

• It doesn’t get more convenient than having a ski rental shop on property, except that you can also reserve your skis, boots, poles and helmets online prior to your arrival.
Things to Know
• If you’re flying into Telluride and plan to stay at the Four-Star hotel and the vicinity the whole time, there’s no reason to rent a car because most everything is walkable or accessible by gondola.

• If you like for your room to be tidied before turning in, you can call for turndown service, since it is not automatic.

• Stop at a grocery store on your way to the hotel to take full advantage of your in-suite kitchenette.
The Rooms
• All units offer kitchens and the larger rooms and condos feature spaces decked out with Wolf appliances and every imaginable amenity.

• The grand bathrooms with deep-soaking tubs and steam showers are perfect after a day on the slopes.

• The Four-Star hotel's condos are the best deal and the roomiest, with Wolf and Sub-Zero kitchen appliances, a washer and dryer, and views of the San Juan Mountains or the ice rink plaza.

• Rooms come with gas fireplaces and large windows or balconies that offer great vistas of the mountain and the resort.
The Restaurants
• Open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Saturday (and brunch on Sundays), Black Iron Kitchen and Bar serves up a seasonal menu of casual, yet modern Mountain cuisine.

• Located rinkside in Mountain Village, signature fire-tables at Black Iron Kitchen and Bar accent the outdoor plaza, and provide the perfect seat for people watching and liquid restoration after a day on the slopes.

• More of a mountain-side living room than a restaurant, M Club offers breakfast daily as well as a menu of shareable bites to curb your appetite any time of day, complete with a game room offering pool, shuffle board and darts; outdoor fire tables and an indoor/oudoor bar.

• The all new Dylan’s Candy Bar features confections from around the world for every sweet tooth, as well as souvenirs and an ice cream parlor.
