Andrea's

Las Vegas' swanky spot for shareables
VERIFIED LUXURY
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas’ newest restaurant combines dining with nightlife in true Vegas (and Wynn) fashion. Andrea’s — named after Steve Wynn’s wife Andrea Hissom — is nothing short of swanky with its sleek white bar and modern lighting.

Chef Joseph Elevado’s shareable Asian-inspired menu features everything from extremely addictive shishito peppers to melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef sliders.

Showing off the nightlife side of things is the Steve Angello (of Swedish House Mafia fame) soundtrack crafted specifically for Andrea’s, which pumps through the speakers. But when the night gets going, a live DJ (usually one playing later next door at Surrender) starts spinning beats.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• Sticking with the Sin City party vibe, dining at Andrea’s is similar to having dinner in a high-class club — with top-notch food, of course.

• With an open dining room and music pumping throughout, it’s hard to find a bad seat at Andrea’s. There are high tables that abut the glass wall overlooking Encore Beach Club and large booths scattered around the room.

• While the restaurant may combine dining and nightlife, the waitstaff is far from your average bar crew. In fact, the knowledgeable servers can tell you about anything that’s on the menu and what the must-haves are.

• If there’s one thing Andrea’s isn’t short on, it’s choices when it comes to ordering. The extensive menu boasts everything from Wagyu beef sliders to extravagant sushi rolls.

• Not only does Andrea’s have a bar, but it will likely be the first thing you notice when you walk into the swanky restaurant. The color-changing piece of art behind the bar is actually the eyes of Steve Wynn’s wife (and the restaurant’s namesake), Andrea Hissom.
Things to Know
• While you may be craving the addictive shishito peppers for lunch, you’ll have to wait until at least 6 p.m. to shovel them into your mouth. Andrea’s does, however, serve a late-night menu on Friday and Saturday (beginning at 12:30 a.m.) so you can get your fix after dancing the night away at XS, Tryst or Surrender.

• Chef Joseph Elevado designed the Asian-inspired menu with the intent of promoting sharing. Of course, you’ll want to hog some of the dishes for yourself, but we suggest ordering family style and trying a little bit of everything.

• Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia curated a bumping soundtrack that plays throughout the dining room. But when 9:30 p.m. rolls around, you can expect a DJ to start spinning.
The Food
• Whether you start with the steamed edamame and the irresistible shishito peppers or the bigeye tuna and Wagyu beef sliders, you can’t make a bad choice.

• You can also start off with dim sum — ranging from pan-fried scallion pancakes to shrimp and pork shumai dumplings — or seafood on ice, including oysters, bigeye tuna “poke,” slow-poached prawns, king crab legs, marinated bay scallops and Maine lobster.

• As for the entrees, we suggest ordering a couple of dishes to share. You can indulge in fish and meat such as an eight-ounce Wagyu rib cap, saikyo miso black cod and five-spice garlic lobster.

• The mini ice cream cone sampler is great for frozen custard fans. But if you’ve got a serious sweet tooth, opt for the dessert tasting and order three sinful mini treats like the vanilla lemongrass panna cotta with blood orange segments and crispy rice or the crispy coconut roll with coconut nougatine, coconut and dry coconut.
The Drinks
• Whether you plan to start your night at Andrea’s or you just prefer a cocktail with dinner, there’s plenty to choose from at this swanky restaurant. You’ll find an entire specialty cocktail menu filled with everything from sweet martinis to punch bowls.

• If you’re looking to try the signature, opt for The Lulu, a delightful concoction of Grey Goose vodka, Malibu rum, Cointreau, crème de pêche, Disaronno liqueurs and fresh sweet and sour.

• For something a little more celebratory, try Wynn’s signature cocktail, The Dream, which is Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne, St. Germain elderflower liqueur and preserved hibiscus.

• If you’re at Andrea’s with a group, ordering a punch bowl is the way to go. Perhaps you’re in the mood for a sweet treat; order the Adult Caramel Popcorn punch with Stoli Salted Karamel vodka, Licor 43, Cruzan coconut rum, apple and lemon juice, and baked apple bitters.
