Affectionately known as Joburg or Jozi, Gauteng's provincial capital of Johannesburg has undergone a recent transformation sparked by the 2010 FIFA World Cup — spectators saw how mesmerizing the city was, with its infinite amount of activities and chic metropolitan feel. The restaurants and eclectic suburbs rival those of New York and Paris, but the area keeps things uniquely South African. It’s impossible to do everything in one trip, but it won’t take long to appreciate the sights and sounds of the country’s largest city.
