Scottsdale sits in Central Arizona, but the city is a major urban center. It’s a popular resort destination on the eastern border of Phoenix, and it’s renowned for outstanding art galleries, excellent shopping and dining, a plethora of golf courses and abundant recreational activities. One of the city’s standouts is its world-class spas, making people flock to the desert oasis for some much-needed pampering sessions. Aside from its high-end offerings sprinkled throughout its tranquil landscape, you’d be remiss not to pay a visit to Scottsdale’s Old Town, too. The spot harkens back to the Old West with Native American crafts and Western-themed bars and restaurants. And don’t forget a stop at Taliesin West, the former home of famed 20th-century American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, which now serves as an architecture school.
