St. Augustine

For an area with a rich past, there’s St. Augustine, Florida’s most historic city. Spanish towers and steeples, red-capped roofs and low, overhanging balconies are reminders of its four centuries of history. As a symbol of the cultural ties between the United States and Hispanic nations, St. Augustine strives to preserve its Spanish cultural influences as well. But it isn’t all museums and historical landmarks here; the city is also home to some of the state’s largest outlet malls, and charming mom-and-pop shops are peppered throughout the historic downtown.
