Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla

Modern enchantment in the Caribbean
VERIFIED LUXURY
Plain and simply put, Anguilla is a place you go to do nothing. The island’s super-flat terrain seems like an anomaly given the rocky makeup of the neighboring islands of St. Maarten, Saba and St. Bart’s, but no one is complaining as the landscape lays claim to some of the most highly regarded beaches in the world.

Mediterranean in its overall design and appearance, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is one of the island’s flagship luxury resorts, a property that shows off one fantastic view after another thanks to a location that straddles Meads and Barnes Bay on the northwest side of the island.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Three perch-like pools offer varying, but equally mesmerizing views from each locale — the adults-only Sunset Pool is of the saltwater infinity variety, the Meads Bay Pool overlooks its namesake and the Aleta Pool offers the luxury cabanas.
  • If you need a break from the water, the Four Seasons has three tennis courts, full basketball and volleyball courts, a watersports shop, a clothing boutique and a Sea Centre for scuba diving.
  • The 8,800 square-foot spa sits in a two-story villa that provides views of the water from its 13 indoor and three outdoor treatment rooms.
  • The architecture throughout the property combines the use of various geometric lines and upscale organic décor, such as furniture carved from driftwood.
Things to Know
  • Families traveling with children can take advantage of the hotel’s year-round Kids for All Seasons club.
  • Though Anguilla is notoriously flat (its highest point is 213 feet above sea level), the resort has taken advantage of a small series of cliffs that raise it just far enough above the coast to give its guests beautiful vantage points over the surrounding bays.
  • Anguilla has a reputation for frequent sightings of double rainbows, resulting in the creation of the Double Rainbow spa treatment.
The Rooms
  • The nearly 1,000-square-foot one-bedroom suites, designed by Kelly Wearstler, feature shades of sandy beige, private plunge pools, and marble bathrooms with double sinks, deep soaking tubs and oversized walk-in showers.
  • But the two-level, three-, four- or five-bedroom private villas are the stars of the Four Seasons. Because of a location on the western side of the property above Barnes Bay, you can expect the best looks at the sunset from here.
  • Each villa is at least 4,000 square feet and has all the amenities of a one-bedroom suite in addition to two outdoor showers, a private cabana, a gourmet kitchen, a washer/dryer and a private pool.
  • Those wanting to switch it up from the restaurant scene can opt to have a private chef prepare a poolside meal overlooking the Caribbean. Villas also have the option of daily butler service.
The Restaurants
  • There are four dining options in total, including Bamboo Bar & Grill and Half Shell Beach Bar. The three casual restaurants serve à la carte fare (think anything from seafood to sandwiches) to go along with a signature Barnes Bay Rum Punch.
  • The Sunset Lounge sits adjacent to the Sunset Pool, and has been called the prettiest place on the island. It’s also where you’ll find most guests during the golden hour relaxing on modern coastal lounge furniture while enjoying sushi, aged rum or a Cuban cigar.
  • Sit at the blufftop SALT to gaze at Barnes and Meads bays while savoring breakfast or a seafood dinner.
