The Bodrum EDITION

A seaside Turkish escape
VERIFIED LUXURY

Jet off to Turkey and relax at The Bodrum EDITION, where the ivory-colored accommodations feel as crisp and pristine as the sparkling Aegean Sea beyond. The boutique hotel features a collection of 108 rooms, suites and villas, most with views of the water and features such as a garden, balcony or private pool.

Even if you don’t opt for accommodations with a pool, you’ll find plenty of access to the water. Unwind in the 28-meter infinity pool, which overlooks the mountains, sea and sky, or hit the gold-sand beach, the hotel’s social hub. When you get out of the water, dine and drink at four restaurants and bars; work out in the fitness center, which offers Life Fitness equipment, a Pilates room and a yoga terrace; or spoil yourself in the spa, where you can have a treatment outside in an open-air cabana.

At the end of the day, you’ll relish retiring to your room’s large marble bathroom, with its deep-soaking tub, monsoon rain shower head and Le Labo toiletries.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The striking infinity pool makes you feel like you are flowing right into the sea. Plus, you’ll have access to the property's exclusive beach club, complete with a secluded jetty where you can book a cabana.
  • No matter which type of stay you choose, each comes with custom-designed furnishings, stone tile floors and warm-wood accents. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows complete the luxurious beach house vibe and most offer views of the sea or bay.
  • Celebrated Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz runs the resort's alfresco restaurant, Brava. Muñoz, formerly of El Bulli and Mugaritz, has created a menu that touches on his home country, with items such as blue tail prawns with garlic, grilled avocado and pickled chalaca, roasted beef fillet with smoked onion and a lomo saltado sauce, and ceviche de puerto with fish, octopus and fried calamari.
  • When in Turkey don't skip the traditional hammam, an ancient Ottoman sauna with cleansing and exfoliating rituals on a marble slab. At this gorgeous hotel spa, it's followed by a relaxing massage using Moroccan black soap with olive extract.
  • Refresh yourself at the pool or beach by ordering from Morena's menu. For starters, the cocktails like a pistachio milk colada, a sparkling wine and gin drink with citrus sherbet, and a sweet-and-spicy tequila tipple are all you will want while sunning. Add on sustenance such as a fruit platter featuring produce from the Yalikavak Market, a zucchini and crab tostada, and sticky fried chicken bites topped with nori and crushed cashews. Bonus: you can dine on even more street-food-style fare in the sit-down café.

Things to Know

  • A delicious Turkish breakfast is included with all stays at the luxury hotel.
  • Using local produce sourced from the property’s own gardens and local farms, Turkish chef Osman Sezener brings the flavors of this country to life at Kitchen. Breakfast and dinner are served here, featuring dishes such as hummus with poppy seeds and seasonal mushrooms, octopus with fava and mint pesto, and beef cheek with smoked potato cream. For dinner, there's also a tasting menu and wine-pairing option.
  • The Bodrum hotel is just under two miles away from the Yalikavak Marina, which hosts clubs, restaurants, shopping and activities.
  • Book the four-bedroom private villa for a secluded getaway. The space comes complete with its own swimming pool and sauna area.
