The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas

Elegant opulence in Dallas
Set in the heart of Dallas, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas boasts all of the opulence expected from the hotel brand.

Inside the extravagant regency-style building, a marble-floored, chandeliered lobby gives way to salmon-hued guest rooms decked with the latest in technology. Besides the lavish rooms and suites, this swanky hotel also hosts a 12,000-square-foot luxury spa, a terraced pool area (which feels less Dallas and more Caribbean) and the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Fearing’s Restaurant.
Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Located at the bottom of the charming Uptown neighborhood, the elegant hotel is within minutes of Dallas Love Field Airport, Southern Methodist University and Dallas’s buzzing arts district. Hop on the historic McKinney Avenue trolley and explore the yuppie-filled neighborhood.
  • Chauffeured Bentleys are offered to guests, so they can roll up to nearby engagements in style and absolute luxury.
  • After a long day of exploring the Dallas-Fort Worth area, there’s nothing better than slipping into the world of relaxation at the Five-Star Ritz-Carlton Spa. Whether you are looking for a massage or a haircut, the spa and salon has all the services to keep you feeling pampered.
  • While all of the rooms have great amenities, rooms on the Club Level of the luxury Dallas hotel feel like you are staying in a hotel within a hotel with the personalized service and extra perks. A separate concierge takes care of your every need and you can snack throughout the day on complimentary culinary delights in the lounge.
Things to Know
  • Though Dallas is not much of a pedestrian-friendly city, the Uptown neighborhood where this Five-Star hotel resides is a walker’s paradise.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas is in the middle of it all. Visit American Airlines Center for a Dallas Mavericks game or over to the Sixth Floor Museum to learn about the earth-shattering day that JFK was shot with ease.
  • When you are planning your trip to the Big D, make a note that you have two airports within 30 minutes of the hotel.
The Rooms
  • Each and every one of the 218 rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas flaunts awesome in-room technology.
  • Sure, you can find a TV in just about every hotel room; but not every hotel room has a flat-screen, much less a flat-screen Sony HDTV. If you are staying in a suite, your stay is that much sweeter with the in-mirror television in the bathroom — talk about awesome.
  • Our favorite feature is the customizable greeting to the voicemail — it means your callers don’t have to worry that they’re leaving a message for the wrong guest.
  • Another thing you’d find at just about every hotel is a safe. But once again, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas goes above and beyond by including outlets inside of the safe so that you can keep your laptop juiced up and out of harm’s way.
The Restaurant
  • Located in the lobby, you can enjoy a fine-dining experience at Fearing’s Restaurant, where you’ll find some of the best Southwestern cuisine on the menu courtesy of celebrity chef Dean Fearing.
  • Known as the father of Southwestern cuisine, Chef Fearing is known to showcase his longtime favorites, as well as inventive new dishes.
  • Chow down on everything from carnitas street tacos to “chicken fried” Texas quail as well as the chef’s legendary tortilla soup.
  • With plenty of fresh ingredients, a lot of which come from the Lone Star State itself, every menu at the lively eatery overflows with goodness.
  • Dinner on the lovely terrace on a nice night is one of the many reasons why Fearing’s is one of the most popular restaurants in town.
