The Guitar Hotel

The sound of South Florida luxury
VERIFIED LUXURY

Made of back-to-back guitars stretching some 450 feet into the sky, The Guitar Hotel is an architectural marvel in Hollywood, Florida. With 638 rooms and suites, restaurants and luxurious amenities, though, it proves so much more than that, too. A late-2019 addition to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino complex, The Guitar Hotel brings a jolt of energy to an otherwise sleepy corner of Broward County. And that other sound you hear? That’s just the roar of the crowd coming from Hard Rock Live, the impressive, 7,000-seat entertainment venue that’s welcoming everyone from Guns N’ Roses to Dave Chappelle.

But that’s what’s so amazing about the property is it’s so massive that you could be here for a raging rock concert or a quiet weekend escape and the two worlds would never have to meet. For a rollicking time, you have four bars and a 150,000-square-foot casino worthy of the Vegas Strip to keep you entertained, while those longing for serenity can luxuriate at the 21-room spa or find a peaceful stretch along the man-made beach. Whatever the getaway’s soundtrack proves to be, The Guitar Hotel sounds like a wonderful answer.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Between The Guitar Hotel’s 600-plus rooms, the Oasis Tower’s 168 units and Hard Rock Hotel’s 465 rooms, there are plenty of overnight options. But if you’re trying to fulfill a rock-star fantasy, book The Guitar Hotel’s Platinum Suite. The stunning space consists of a living room, original artwork and a marble-encased shower big enough for the entire band.
  • While the property proudly displays clothes worn by Rihanna and cars driven by Neil Diamond in the public spaces, the musical references in the rooms are more subtle. You might find a guitar stitched into a pillow, but nods won’t go much louder than that.
  • Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood is the home for family water fun. The property boasts six pools, hot tubs and a 182-foot waterslide. Insider tip: wander around the busy, 13.5-acre main pool to find paddle-boarding, kayaking and some serious lounging on a surprisingly tranquil lagoon.
  • More than mere cabanas, the Bora Bora villas are gorgeous overwater hangouts featuring plunge pools, private bathrooms and TVs. Rent one for an all-day indulgence.
  • When it comes to dining, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood hits all the right notes. Rise is a fantastic spot for omelets, waffles or burgers any time of day. The Bōl is a tasty destination for Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, like pepper steak and General Tso’s chicken. With an in-house butcher shop and Himalayan salt wall, it’s easy to see why Council Oaks Steaks & Seafood is even popular with the locals.

Things to Know

  • While the check-in lines move expeditiously in the main lobby, The Guitar Hotel VIPs are offered a separate, more personalized experience just to the right of the elevators.
  • The 3,300-square-foot fitness center features the latest Technogym equipment.
  • Like some of Las Vegas’ top hotels, the property has an impressive promenade of retailers called The Shoppes at The Guitar Hotel. Davidoff of Geneva, Weston Jewelers and Aubi & Ramsa’s adult ice cream treats are just a few of the enticing outlets.
  • Designed by the same brilliant minds behind the Fountains of Bellagio, The Oculus is an interactive show of water, lights and projections choreographed to music that greets you at the grand entrance. Still, the true showstopper is the light show on the hotel façade that occurs nightly at 9 and 9:30.
  • The property sits just a 15-minute drive from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
