The Dorchester

London's grand luxury hotel
Conceived in the 1930s as a high-end hotel that would rank as the finest in Europe, The Dorchester in London retains this standard to this very day. This lavish London landmark is known for its typically English residential façade festooned with wrought-iron balconies, but it’s the hotel interior that really impresses.

Besides containing 250 of the most decadent rooms and suites in London, it is also home to a wealth of fine dining and drinking options — including an acclaimed restaurant by Alain Ducasse, the recently reimagined The Grill at The Dorchester and the gorgeously art-deco inspired China Tang — and one of the country’s most sumptuous spas. With all this and more besides, The Dorchester gracefully maintains its position as one of the finest hotels in Europe.

  • Guest rooms have been recently refreshed with a striking design palette in shimmering shades of silver and rust evoking a timeless Art Deco vibe. Rooms are also individually decorated, but all lean towards elegant English residential style.
  • The Promenade is filled during the day with those seeking an excellent afternoon tea experience, complete with a live pianist. In the evening it is populated the cocktail-swilling crowd sipping on bespoke drinks and listening to live jazz.
  • Roof Suites all have large outdoor balconies with lovely vistas of neighborhing Hyde Park.
  • The Bar at The Dorchester’s plum tufted banquettes are an iconic place to sip classic cocktails. Take a look at the gin and tonic menu, which offers various concoctions using the bar’s own bitters.
