Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort

A family-friendly Baja favorite
VERIFIED LUXURY

Sitting on a coveted stretch of beachfront, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort has been a luxury fixture in Los Cabos. And thanks to a recent makeover from renowned interior design firm Hirsch-Bedner Associates, the resort overlooking the Sea of Cortez has never looked better.

Each of the 375 rooms showcases all-new elegant appointments, including comfortable furnishings, colorful destination accents and balconies with breathtaking ocean views.

The dining has also been elevated at the new-look Hilton, with six eateries representing various culinary styles, ranging from the romantic, Italian-themed Vela to the seafood-focused El Meson.

Some things haven’t changed, however. Hilton Los Cabos remains among the top of its class for families traveling with children, thanks to its dedicated kids club, babysitting services and a Splash Zone pool featuring water slides.

The resort, likewise, retains its reputation for hosting first-class meetings and events. There’s a ballroom that can accommodate 800 guests, as well as picturesque terraces and beachfront spaces perfect for destination weddings.

Eight swimming pools, a spa, tennis courts and a new beach club overlooking the scenic and appropriately named Tequila Cove are yet more winners for a resort that seemingly can’t lose.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Few local resorts are more dedicated to family travel than Hilton Los Cabos. Not only does the Cabo Kids Club provide supervised activities for young travelers ages four to 12, but the Splash Zone pool area has cool water slides.
  • The pampering Eforea Spa offers a variety of massages and wellness treatments, as well as traditional Mexican rituals that often incorporate native herbs. The salon boutique, meanwhile, sells heart-shaped arts and crafts whose proceeds benefit local families.
  • Swimming pools seem to wind their way into every corner of the grounds, with two of the eight distinguished by their infinity-edge vistas and swim-up bars.
  • While this is a beach hotel, the meeting and events venues are first-class here. The elegant El Dorado may garner the most attention for its size, but intimate and scenic beach, poolside and terrace spaces are also available.
  • Los Cabos is famous for its beautiful beaches, but few can match the beauty of Hilton’s own stretch of glorious golden sand. Alternatively known as Playa Bledito (or Tequila Cove), the tranquil waters here are swimmable (rare for this area) and great for water-based activities like kayaking, snorkeling or stand-up paddleboarding.

Things to Know

  • Hilton’s setting in Los Cabos’ tourist corridor, the 20-mile coastal stretch that connects cape cities Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, puts you smack-dab in the middle of one of the densest concentrations of championship-level golf courses in the world. The Cabo Real course from Robert Trent Jones II and 27-hole masterpiece at Palmilla Golf Club, designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, are both close by and playable for guests.
  • The best stables in Los Cabos, Cuadra San Francisco, are just across the street from the resort, leaving you easy access to horseback rides of the beach or trail variety, as well as small horses so kids can ride along.

The Rooms

  • Hilton has a well-earned reputation for comfort, courtesy of its signature Sweet Dreams mattresses and plush pillows. King beds are the norm at the Los Cabos hotel, although a few guest rooms feature two queens instead.
  • The resort was purposefully designed to show off ocean views in each of its 375 accommodations. Balconies also come standard in all rooms and suites.
  • Oversized bathrooms are distinguished by his-and-hers sinks and, in the case of larger suites, whirlpool-style bathtubs.
  • Those in La Vista Club accommodations (a special collection of suites on the top floors) have access to their own shared club lounge, as well as a VIP experience concierge and custom amenities like aromatherapy toiletries, silk robes and marble baths.

The Restaurants

  • El Meson is a showcase of seafood, including regional specialties like sea-farm-raised totuava, a very large and delicious fish found only in the Sea of Cortez.
  • Elegant and romantic, Vela spotlights a fusion of handmade pastas and regional Italian dishes made largely with Mexican ingredients, the majority sourced from the nearby organic farming community of Miraflores.
  • Surrounded by swimming pools, horizon-stretching Sea of Cortez panoramas and vibrantly hued hanging swings, Mio offers one of the most visually breathtaking and utterly delightful dining experiences at the luxury hotel. Raw bar and sushi specialties include a crunchy quinoa roll with fresh crab, avocado, asparagus and spicy tuna.
  • The national spirits come out at Azul, a tapas-style restaurant that features enormous collections of tequila and mezcal, agave-based liquors native to Mexico. The traditional Oaxaqueño pairing of mezcal with comal-cooked, chile-seasoned grasshoppers is, alongside freshly made guacamole, the signature dish here.
