Andronis Arcadia

Serenity in Santorini

Island life meets upscale luxury at the elegant Andronis Arcadia, a hotel that opened in 2019 on the edge of the picturesque town of Oia. While strolling to the cliff-side village proves easy, the all-suite hotel lies far enough away that you feel secluded and wrapped in privacy.

While there’s much to see beyond the hotel’s white-washed walls, Andronis Arcadia offers plenty of activities to keep you busy. Drop off the little ones at the kids club (which features a Lego robotics lab) and indulge in world-class cuisine, swim in two destination pools (an infinity pool with floating loungers or a beach-club-like option), relax in the spa, embark on an adventure on the property’s private yacht, capture the eminently Instagrammable island on a guided photo safari, fly to Mykonos with the hotel’s shopping concierge for a new wardrobe or simply bask in the serene beauty of Santorini — every accommodation comes with a sea view.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Book one of the Natura Suites, which all have unparalleled views of the Aegean Sea, open floor plans, king-sized beds, sun-lit rain showers and sitting rooms. Best of all, each boasts a veranda complete with a private pool, lounge chairs and more dazzling vistas. The one-bedroom Oasis Suites afford the same amenities but even more space, though for the biggest accommodation, opt for the three-story, six-bedroom Eden Villa, the largest in Oia.
  • Make sure to visit the sprawling, circular Grande Pool dotted with sun beds. It radiates a beach club vibe, especially when a DJ performs. For a day of ultimate relaxation, reserve an airy cabana and enjoy a half-bottle of champagne, fruit and coffee. When the sparkling wine runs out, sidle up to the pool bar.
  • Each minimalist, contemporary room incorporates the island’s natural colors — neutral browns and beiges. Pops of bright white adorn some walls and all the beds, matching the iconic ivory hues of the buildings in the nearby town. The luxury hotel suites set the scene for utter tranquility, especially since every one overlooks the water.
  • Although the Evexia Spa offers massages, facials and body wraps, make sure to try the water therapy experience with the hot and cold L-shaped Kneipp pools. As you switch between the sparkling pools, step on the different-shaped stones to ignite reflexology points on your feet.
  • When itching to explore, book an exclusive excursion. For example, a private catamaran sails around all the major sights, including the mineral-rich hot springs, while you enjoy barbecue and endless glasses of Mediterranean wine. There's also a private helicopter tour that flies beyond Santorini and over Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes and other nearby areas.

The Restaurants

  • Get dinner with a sea view at the island's first Beefbar, a concept originally created by Riccardo Giraudi in Monte Carlo. At the Santorini hotel, chef George Kyrtsallidis fills the menu with whimsical small plates inspired by street food from around the world, utilizing top ingredients and delectable cuts of meat sourced from the best ranches in Australia, Japan and the United States.
  • Visit Pacman Sunset Restaurant-Bar for a boho-chic dinner alfresco, right by the water. As the name suggests, there’s no better spot to catch a sunset while nibbling on Mediterranean delicacies such as crayfish tartare, fresh fish with wild fennel sauce and roasted lamb shoulder. Pacman also provides a full sushi menu.
  • During the day, take a dip in the Grande Pool and then relax while sipping a refreshing craft cocktail, glass of wine or mocktail, and nibbling truffle fries and Greek salad, available from the pool bar menu.
  • Book an exclusive one-couple-a-night wine tasting at Lycabettus Restaurant, located on the edge of the hill at sister property Andronis Luxury Suites. It's led by the property’s sommelier and comes with a Greek food pairing. The wines and food sing, but the view of Santorini’s vineyards and the sea make it an unforgettable experience.
