Enchantment Resort

Where Mother Nature is saluted in style
VERIFIED LUXURY

Though only 120 miles from Phoenix, Enchantment Resort feels as if it’s a world away from the hubbub of the city. Here in Sedona’s Boynton Canyon, loud horns and heavy footsteps are replaced with humming insects and light breezes. Across the resort’s tranquil 70 acres, you’ll count as many javelinas and mule deer roaming about as you do guests. The casita studios and pool suites come with frame-worthy views of red-rock buttes and steep canyons.

But Enchantment Resort isn’t the kind of place where Mother Nature is solely admired from afar. In fact, it’s encouraged that you get up close and personal with the outdoors by walking the onsite labyrinth or playing tennis on one of the three courts. Of course, if your intentions are to fully embrace the environment, lace up your sneakers for a hike or bike ride along the 300-plus miles of stunning trail surrounding the property.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Tucked along Sedona’s red rocks, the canyon setting is incredible. Enchantment’s one-story adobe accommodations blend into the colorful, peak-filled backdrop and don’t take away from the breathtaking panoramas.
  • While every room at the luxury hotel has a warm Southwestern design touch and private deck, larger spaces such as the Hacienda Suite (wood-beamed ceilings, beehive fireplace) and Full Casa Suite (full kitchen, skylights) come with even more surprises.
  • Sparked by a culinary team that has cooked at New York’s James Beard House, Enchantment Resort offers a host of regionally inspired dishes in a casual setting (Tii Gavo) and a slightly more formal one (Che Ah Chi).
  • You’ll never get bored at the resort, whose calendar features more than 140 weekly activities. Explore your creative side with classes in watercolors, photography or beading. Venture out at night for stargazing. Or get active with mountain biking, hiking and yoga.
  • Don't miss a treatment at Mii amo. The destination spa offers everything from the traditional (massages and facials) to the untraditional (sound therapy and meditations).

Things to Know

  • Consider the property’s latest masterpiece, the 4,100-square-foot Enchantment Trail House, as your one-stop shop for renting mountain bikes, purchasing new gear or meeting up with one of the knowledgeable guides for a sacred earth walk.
  • Enchantment Resort doesn’t stop at outdoor guides for teaching moments. With wine sommeliers, art instructors and meditation advisers readily available, the Sedona hotel seemingly places learning on equal footing with luxuriating during your stay.
  • Because of a roster of counselor-run activities that include scavenger hunts, nature walks and cooking classes, children from four to 12 will connect with Enchantment, too.
  • The Tom Weiskopf-designed Seven Canyons Golf Course is annually named one of Arizona’s finest layouts. As a resort guest, you’ll have exclusive access to the 18-hole escape sitting just a 10-minute drive from the property.
