Crown Towers Sydney

A lavish Sydney skyscraper
VERIFIED LUXURY

Sydney gets another skyline standout with Crown Towers Sydney. The twisted, sculptural tower designed by WilkinsonEyre rises 902 feet above the harbor in the up-and-coming Barangaroo district. The gleaming glass-panel façade of the city’s tallest building reflects the azure skies and fluffy clouds surrounding it.

The interiors are just as impressive at the new hotel, which opened in December 2020. The lobby chandelier is more like an art installation, with nearly 400 illuminated rods tracing the circular staircase for six stories. A showstopping heated multilevel outdoor infinity pool faces the harbor. And 349 luxurious and unique rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows to give you yet another opportunity to ogle the waterfront.

Elsewhere in the hotel, you’ll find 14 restaurants serving everything from handmade noodles (88 Noodles) to scoops of gelati (Il Caffe). The spa is a destination unto itself with pampering La Prairie services and top-of-the-line facilities.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The sleek marble bathrooms are indulgent, especially if you snag one with a standalone egg-shaped tub overlooking the harbor. They come with built-in TVs, state-of-the-art electronic toilets and spacious showers with various water settings.
  • Plant yourself at the fifth-floor alfresco infinity pool, preferably in one of the floating day beds, and take in stunning harbor vistas.
  • Make time for Crown Spa’s effective, results-driven facials and relaxing marma massages.
  • The Sydney hotel is a diner’s delight. Highlights include the city’s first Nobu outpost; traditional Italian fine dining at a’Mare; Australian produce prepared with wood, charcoal and steam at Woodcut; and customized Japanese fare at 12-seat Yoshii's Omakase.
  • For an unforgettable view, head up to Cirq, the 26th-floor terrace bar pouring wine and cocktails featuring Australian botanicals.

Things to Know

  • Tennis never looked so bold and bright. Aboriginal artist Reko Rennie, whose aesthetic fuses his Kamilaroi heritage with graffiti, designed the luxury hotel’s eye-catching blue, black and pink open-air court.
  • If you need an incentive to work out, the fifth-floor gym boasts fantastic water panoramas from its wall of windows as well as Technogym’s latest Artis equipment.
